YIAY (Yesterday I Asked You) is a popular series on the jacksfilms channel. In these videos, Jack reviews others’ answers to the question he asked them in the end of another video, hence the name.
The series has garnered attraction and been used for different formats over the years. A live version on Twitch titled YIAY LIVE began in August 2018, a board game version titled YIAY: The Board Game was released in 2021, and a live gameshow version titled YIAY The Game/YIAY LIVE! LIVE! began in November 2021. He also started YAIY in April 2024, a version of YIAY where he asks AI YIAY questions.
In August 2023, it was revealed that YIAY will move to the jackisanerd channel, where the series originally began.

Old YIAY Set[]
Since episode fifteen, Jack has been using this for most of the episodes as his background.
Jack typically films in a small corner of his house which includes a L couch, a cupboard with unknown items inside it and random wall ornaments.
The decorations on the walls generally change since Erin regularly switches them with something else, usually corresponding to a holiday.
In November 2016, it was last seen on episode 295 due to Jack & Erin moving.
Current YIAY Set[]
This is the current set up Jack has been using. It was first seen within the background of episode 297 and has been using it since then.
As seen in the photo, there are many ornaments to decorate the fireplace, for example his Shorty Award. It is unknown that that the fireplace works or has been used. Jack usually plugs his products that accompany the decorations. Similar to the old set, it is usually decorated responding to a holiday. Also a big aspect of the fireplace is the checkered mirror.
